Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026

This policy explains how Sayably: Communication Skills handles information when you use the app or its support form. The app is intended for adults aged 18 or older.

Information stored in the app

Your current message draft, saved messages, saved techniques, practice answers, progress, feedback, and preferences are stored in the app’s local storage. Preferences include your onboarding choices and your AI consent setting. You do not need an account to use these features.

Sayably does not provide account-based syncing of this content. Your device’s own storage and backup settings may separately affect copies of local app data.

Optional AI requests

AI is optional and requires your consent. When you choose an AI action, the text you submit and the relevant context, selected options, clarifications, or exercise details are sent directly from the app to DeepSeek to generate a response.

Other drafts, saved messages, your full practice history, and attached photos are not included in these requests. Review the text before sending it and avoid private, confidential, or sensitive information about yourself or other people.

DeepSeek processes submitted text under the terms and policies applicable to its service. Sayably does not promise zero retention or exclusion from model training. You can read DeepSeek’s privacy information for provider information; this Sayably policy describes the app’s own data handling.

You can turn AI off in Settings → AI Privacy. This blocks future AI requests. Cancelling a request, withdrawing consent, or deleting local data cannot recall information already received by DeepSeek or guarantee that processing there stops.

Camera and photo access

You can attach one reference photo to a saved message by choosing an image from your library or taking a photo when a camera is available. Access is requested when you choose the relevant action.

The attached copy is stored with the app’s local data. Sayably does not upload these photos or send them to AI. Removing an attachment or its saved message removes the app’s copy, without deleting the original from your photo library. You can manage camera and photo access in your device settings.

Support submissions

The Support Form works in a browser and does not require an account or sign-in. Submitting it sends your topic, message, and any name or contact details you choose to provide. Contact details are optional.

The submission also includes its time, the support page address without query parameters, the referring site’s origin when available, browser information, and a request status. These details help review the request and understand technical problems. Hosting and network services also receive the connection information needed to deliver the pages and process a submission, such as an IP address.

Requests are stored for later review and are not publicly readable through the form. Do not submit passwords, payment details, private conversation transcripts, or other sensitive personal information. The form does not attach your app records or photos automatically.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain in the app until you remove them. You can delete individual saved messages and attachments, or choose Settings → Delete All Local Data to remove the current draft, saved items, reference photos, practice history, and preferences, including AI consent. If the app reports that deletion or photo cleanup could not finish, use its retry action.

Deleting local data does not delete support submissions or information already sent to DeepSeek. Support requests are retained for later review and do not expire automatically.

Other choices and information

Using a Copy action places the selected text on the system clipboard. If you paste it into another app or service, that destination handles the text under its own policies.

The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics tools. Its technical AI diagnostics stay on the device and omit message and answer text. We use reasonable access controls for support records, but no storage system or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children’s privacy

Sayably is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. Anyone under 18 must not use the app or submit information through the Support Form. If you believe a person under 18 has submitted personal information, report it using the Support Form.

Changes and contact

Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated date. For questions about this policy or your information, use the Support Form.
